My Story: Part Two - An on-going bullying saga

Read Part One of My Story first.

After my Local Education Authority and School failed me - I lost my chance of a Welsh language education. I had been fluent in Welsh but today I struggle with the language. I was also behind on certain subjects. I am currently behind in certain areas and advanced in others. To cut a long story short, I went to live in London and returned to Wales after two years. Basically, what had happened to me in Wales had such a major impact on my family and my education that I needed the break. I was glad I went to London but was relieved to be back home in Wales. However, my current secondary school is rough. There are so many bullies all grouped together in one place. It is shameful.

Since experiencing bullying I have had the opportunity to learn about the topic to try to understand why it happens and what makes people bully. So many sites and victims of bullying are saying the same thing. I believe there is a culture of bullying in the classroom. It needs to stop but how do we stop it. This site is my way of dealing with the issue of being bullied. I am a victim of bullying and not afraid to say it. Victims of bullying are not the bad ones. They are not the ones to laugh at or look down upon. They are the ones that are suffering an injustice and if you see or know of someone that is being bullied and you do nothing to help them - what does that say about you?

If you do not know how to help someone that is being bullied then the least you can do is stand against it by getting involved in causes that raise awareness of it. The guest book here is set up in a way that encourages people to disclose who they are or remain anonymous. So you can be whoever you want to be to contribute on my site. Just say what you think or feel. If you have a story that you want to share I can put it in the blog - just send it to me via the Feedback page. Please let me know whether you want me to use your real name or whether you want to remain anonymous.

Anyway, back to my story - part two

Basically, it hasn't ended - the bullying continues - hence this site. Every day I am in school I have an experience and before I tell you what happens I will tell you what bullying is:

In a nut shell

Bullying can happen to anyone at any age. Being bullied at school, home or online might involve someone pushing you, hitting you, teasing you, talking about you or calling you names. No one has the right to hurt you or make you feel bad, and if you are being bullied you don't have to put up with it, you can talk to someone about it.
